This is the visualization of my initial idea on the design of the digipak. Consist of mostly mosaic decorations with simple color scheme (as proven to be widely use in V-pop artist like Wren Evans, HIEUTHUHAI (for more detail, please refer to this link) as that create a consistence in visual outline for the overall look of the entire campaign of release. Compare this to the final version of the official design, many changes can be spotted.
CHANGE IN LAYOUT.
First, the position changed. Compare to the final product, you can see the different in vision and reality. The original position of the cherry was on the right, in the end, got flipped to the right. This transformation was due to the realization of wrong imagination. If the cherry was on the right and the album title was on the left, it will be like reading a book from the ending note to the opening thank you. The scale of the cherry itself also did not stick to the plan. As I was designing it on Adobe Illustration, I release in order to make it that big, the font size must decrease to the point of unreadable (no I’m being dramatic, but close to that point).
Second the change of the apple. While the male lead will still be looking at the female lead, the apple got moved to the CD disk instead. Reason for this was rather simple: for aesthetics. With symmetrical layout of the pixel fruits can help enhancing the overall feeling of the digipak.
